WHY TAGHASH MCP

What is the Model Context Protocol(MCP)?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) empowers your AI tools, like Claude or OpenAI models, to securely access and utilize contextual information directly from your Taghash workspace.

Imagine your AI effortlessly generating insightful one-pagers, drafting follow-up plans, scheduling reminders, enriching deal data, analyzing portfolio MISes, and even composing emails – all with the deep understanding of your firm's unique data. That's the power MCP brings to Taghash.

Live Workflow Utility

Put AI to work across live dealflow, portfolio, fund operations, and LP workflows.

Access Aligned To Permissions

Keep every AI interaction limited to the data each user is already permitted to access in Taghash.

Purpose-built For Private Capital

Support the workflows private capital teams run across sourcing, portfolio monitoring, fund operations and LP management.

Continuity Across Workflows

Carry context from one workflow to the next across the fund’s operating layer.

AI SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE

RECOMMENDED SETUP

Important Note AI Provider Plans

Please be aware that to ensure the privacy of your proprietary Taghash data and to avoid AI Provider's rate limits, you might need to subscribe to Pro or Team (paid) plans with your AI provider.

These premium plans typically offer:

  • Guarantees that your data will not be used for logging, training, or improving the AI models.
  • Higher rate limits compared to free plans, preventing disruptions during intensive use.

Always review your AI provider's terms of service and data usage policies.

Important Security Best Practices

While we've built robust security into the Taghash MCP server, following these precautions will further safeguard your sensitive information:

Disable Other MCP Servers

When using Taghash MCP, turn off all other MCP servers in your AI tool. Your organization's data on Taghash is highly sensitive. A malicious third-party MCP server could potentially perform a Tool Poisoning attack, leading to unauthorized actions. Taghash is not responsible for actions performed due to other MCP servers.

Verify All Actions

Carefully review and verify all actions your AI tool proposes, especially those that modify or add data to Taghash (e.g., updating deals, sending emails). While it may be tempting to click "Allow Always" on consent popups, exercise caution. Always ensure you are aware of and approve any data-altering operations.

Understand AI Provider Policies & Obtain Clearances

Before integrating Taghash MCP with any AI provider, it is crucial to:

  • Thoroughly understand and vet the privacy policies and data handling practices of the AI provider. Ensure they meet your organization's security and compliance standards.
  • Inform your organization's leadership about your intended use of the Taghash MCP Server and the specific AI tools you plan to connect.
  • Obtain explicit clearance from your IT department or relevant security team before enabling the integration. They can help assess potential risks and ensure compliance with internal policies.

Proactive communication and due diligence of your AI toolkit are key to maintaining a secure environment when leveraging powerful AI integrations like Taghash MCP.

Review AI-Generated Content

While AI models (as of 2025) are significantly more reliable, Large Language Models (LLMs) are probabilistic and can still "hallucinate" or generate incorrect information. Always review any reports, emails, or notes generated by the AI before making critical decisions or sharing them. Taghash is not liable for issues arising from LLM hallucinations.
